Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church has launched the Global Arts & Spirituality Collective, a new initiative supported by a Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference Faith and Innovation grant. Rooted in Wesleyan theology and the Black Church tradition, the Collective will equip emerging leaders through the arts, intercultural learning, and global partnerships, including Africa University in Zimbabwe. Dr. Catherine Meeks will visit Centenary UMC on August 27 (Thursday), 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. She is a dynamic visioner for addressing oppression and racial healing. She has authored several books sharing her wisdom in helping others shape a vision of beloved community. Her most recent book is "Bridging The Rivers of Difference: A Proclamation of Unity In Resistance.".
