TWK BMCR is working with the NAACP to gather signatures to stop the pollution in Memphis.

For over a year, Elon Musk's xAI has been illegally operating 35 gas turbines in South Memphis WITHOUT PERMITS - violating Clean Air Act protections that exist to keep us safe. 

These turbines pump out 2,000 tons of toxic pollution per year into a community where cancer rates are already 4x the national average. Although Memphis Light Gas and Water (MLGW) signed a closed-door deal to allow for 30,000 gallons of greywater (recycled water) to be used for the data center, it could take up to 5 million gallons of water per day to cool off the data center. So, there will be a strain on the already aging water infrastructure and potentially create water contamination to run the data center.
